Duties of The Vice-Chancellor’s Office for Education
  • Planning and networking with domestic and foreign institutions to promote and enhance cooperation on educational affairs as well as scientific and international exchanges,
  • Planning sabbatical leaves at domestic and overseas institutions for faculty members according to regulations,
  • Improvement of students’ academic and professional skills in preparation for entering the workforce,
  • Making provision for the use of facilities intended for honor students and exceptional talents according to relevant by-laws,
  • Notification of all decisions and by-laws introduced by the Vice-Chancellor’s Office for Education and the School dean to the relevant units and supervision of their implementation,
  • Drafting of the regulations, by-laws, and minutes of meetings related to the duties of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office for Education to be proposed to competent authorities for approval,
  • Reporting to the School dean on the duties of its subdivisions,
  • Recommending individuals qualified to hold managerial positions to the dean,
  • Collaboration with other vice-chancelleries for proper implementation of School programs,
  • Managing and supervising the implementation of all policies, regulations, and educational procedures to ensure compliance with the relevant laws, resolutions, regulations, and codes of procedure with the approach of expanding postgraduate programs,
  • Monitoring and evaluation of student and faculty education performance,
  • Organizing training and empowerment courses for students and faculty,
  • Curriculum development and reform aimed at updating and enriching curriculum content, and submitting the necessary recommendations to the relevant ministry,
  • Evaluation of available seats for new admissions,
  • Administration of classes, registration, course enrollment, adding/dropping of classes, examinations, education certificates, banquets, drop-outs and extension of maximum period of study, grade registration, etc.
  • Administration of comprehensive examinations for PhD students,
  • Submission of the decisions reached by the Council for Education of the School to its university counterpart, 
  • Enforcement of the decisions announced by the Council for Education of the University,
  • Correspondence with the faculty members, students, and alumni of the School in accordance with University regulations,
  • Networking and academic collaboration with other schools of the University and other universities,
  • Decision-making in relation to the enhancement of the School’s education quality,
  • Developing and running of short-term training courses,
  • Annual budget proposal in accordance with School priorities,
  • Planning for the provision of educational facilities,
  • Determining faculty job descriptions and time allocation (time spent on teaching, research, service activities, etc.)
  • Proposing new faculty members and supervision of faculty recruitment processes in line with University policies,
  • Invitation of visiting professors if necessary,
  • Review of faculty academic tenure appointments,
  • Supervision of faculty evaluations,
  • Guidance, supervision, and approval of the titles of graduate theses,
  • Other duties assigned by superior authorities,
